Nearly every one of the RMT instructors have trained with Martin, and in one way or another he has ignited a fire within us. Some of us have even known him since we were kids! No matter how we were introduced to the principles of RMT we all have one thing in common … we believe from our heart and soul that we can all improve our lives through the work we do here.
It’s not all about bigger, better, faster or leaner or losing weight. It’s about finding that fire in you to help you achieve your goals, live healthy and have fun doing it. That is OUR purpose.
We each have grown since our first meeting with Martin. Each of us had a different reason to start training, some of us wanted to be better able to run, skip and play with our kids, others realized that had to be stronger to care for our aging parents, and others just really wanted to look good for that next high school reunion. We found out that we are all more than our goals, so are you. Join us on that journey and here’s a little bit about us:
I am young and I am learning every day about fitness and health.
I am an only child in my family, who loves me fiercely. And I love everyone back that way too, but you may see me as a little reserved. Getting kids to move is my passion, that’s why we started RMT Kids. It’s our way to make sure the next generation can move, play and enjoy life to it’s fullest. I so appreciate how exercise makes me feel and want to pass that along to you. Try a CORE or Kickboxing class and bring your kids. We will keep them busy while you get fit!
The bottom line at RMT is not the bottom line, like many fitness centers.
Here, it’s not about how many people are in a class or how much money we make, but about INTEGRITY. There are no quick fixes, simply honest ideas and opportunities to move your body and have a space where you are not just a number on the class list. Each RMT Afterburner, Kickboxing and Core class is a collaboration with all of the instructors. And every exercise during that workout is there on purpose. We do it all with you in mind. First class is free, so give us a try.
Stepping into a gym for the first time, is pretty intimidating. Trust me, I know how that feels. My amazing wife began a weight loss journey, so I joined her. After month on the treadmill and making some progress, I decided to start lifting weights, but how? I didn’t want to look like a fool in front of everyone! RMT entered my life and I have never looked back. Our classes are small — 6:1 (participants to instructors). Everything about RMT made me feel welcome and I hope you do too.
Every RMT Pound class is a party! Yes, I have a lot of energy and love what I do. I love the music and vibe of every Pound class and I hope you will too. The weighted drum sticks and the music help us move through each session and before you know it we are done. How hard you work in class is up to you, so you can make each class what you need, rather than worry about what your neighbor is doing. But I will be there for you, every single class. See you soon.
Yoga entered my life when I was pregnant with my first baby, my doctor suggested it. Since then, I’ve seen the power of the poses for all types of bodies and situations. I’m an RN so I understand the science behind yoga, but also belief in what it does beyond the physical. Many people are curious about yoga, but hesitant to try it. I love introducing yoga to people and hope you will try a class and see what it can do for you.
Life can sometimes pass you by, without even realizing it, that’s what happened to me. After years of exercise and fitness, I literally dropped the ball, gained weight, got depressed and got hurt, which meant a BIG knee surgery. At the end of rehab I found Martin/RMT and realized it was time to get strong and healthy. I’m ready to help others bridge that gap and help you get back in the game too, no matter what it might be. Schedule an RMT stretch session soon, first short stretch is on me.
I’ve always wanted to be a teacher and being able to open someone’s mind to a new idea, whether they are one of my elementary students or an adult in a TRX or Afterburner class, is what makes my day. Building a class with the rest of the instructors is a pretty amazing process and it’s different any team I played on in high school or college. I did lots of sports growing up, but now I’m part of the RMT team that wants to help change how our community sees health and fitness and what it can do for each of you. It’s not about scoring points anymore it’s about winning the game of life and I hope you’ll join us soon.
